In order to maintain water quality and improve river pollution, the Ministry of Environment proclaimed 1991 as the "River Pollution Remediation Year" and set up water environment patrol teams in key rivers for remediation across the country to encourage the public to participate in water environment protection. Enthusiastic people in the city have invested in voluntary patrols and notifications, water quality monitoring, stream cleaning, river ecological monitoring, environmental education, and domestic sewage source reduction. Protecting nearby rivers and rivers has become an extension of the energy of environmental inspections. In recent years, as the concept of resource recycling has been paid more and more attention, the water environment patrol team has also combined the resource recycling operation mode to promote the recycling of livestock manure and create multiple economic benefits.
To promote and demonstrate the application of location-based data services, the Ministry of Environment has developed the "Environmental Information Exploration Dashboard" (URL: https://env.moenv.gov.tw/LBS/), which provides various types of information through an interactive visual map. Considering that location-based data services have been widely adopted and have achieved diverse and extensive development across various fields, this service has fulfilled its purpose and will be officially discontinued on February 21, 2025. We sincerely thank all the supporters and users who have enjoyed this service during its operation!
